Version 2.0

Version 2.0 is the second album from one of my all time favorite Alternative Rock bands Garbage. The album to me is their best album to date and also the album that certified them as not just a Alternative Rock band but the band dabbling with more Electronica in their tracks made it that much more enjoyable for me.

The album was a hit critically, It went multi platinum in many countries and sold over four million copies to date. The album for me has some of my all time favorite songs in terms of emotionally charged lyrics. The lyrics that I post all have meaning to me in the sense I can relate to them in some way or another.

Shirley Manson is one of those artists who can write lyrics and once sung by her are just heartbreaking. They never seem fake and emotionally it just hits hard and on Version 2.0 a few of the songs do exactly that. Lyrics like "Knocked Down, Cried Out, Been Down Just To Find Out, I'm Through, Bleeding For You" Could describe my last five relationships. The album for me is almost like a break up album mixed with some sex thrown in with a hint of revenge. All in all the best Garbage album released.
